When I started working on my own, I was strictly a print designer. I would interface with web designers a lot to provide them with artwork to create the websites for my clients. I quickly became frustrated at how many web designers were so technical and didn’t incorporate the softer side of design. The number of times we’d have to go back and forth with the artwork I gave them to what we got in the end was exhausting. It lead me to adding web design to my repertoire.

Web design has come a long way since then, but the process is still the same. I work primarily in WordPress and customize web solutions for each of my clients. My designs are image-heavy, easy-to-navigate and highly functional. I also incorporate general search engine optimization techniques right away from the beginning. All of the sites I work on are highly optimized and ADA compliant.

This is an ever-changing area that I can’t wait to expand in the future. As I learn more, I incorporate those things into every site I work on. You’ll end up with more than just a website, you’ll have an experience!

Web Design and Production

From concept to completion, I will help you build a highly functional website for your business. We’ll incorporate whatever special needs you might have for your business. Some specialty items include: business directories, filterable charts, forms/data collection, portfolios, and much more! Once completed, you will be given login credentials so that you have full access to your site. I am transparent with everything I do and never play games with how much of the website you have access to.

Every site I work on is built with a responsive framework meaning it’s mobile-ready. As I’m building the site, I’m simultaneously looking at the mobile pages and making sure things look good there as well. Almost five billion people around the world have mobile devices making mobile optimizations a must.

E-Commerce

Incorporating an online marketplace for your company’s product(s) is becoming more of a priority for many businesses big and small. I work with WordPress and WooCommerce to develop virtual storefronts for you to sell your services. The systems are simple and easy-to-use so you can manage your own store without having to have programming knowledge.

Forms

I am highly skilled in the generation of forms for data collection using Gravity Forms. I can create general forms that collect basic information from a user or highly complex forms like quotes that will collect user specified information and will then distribute that information to them in an official form. It’s a highly customizable area that requires a lot of patience and skill but super fun to work on.

Hosting and Security

I can provide you with hosting services for your domain. I have optimized the websites I work on to maintain a level of security so that the site doesn’t get hacked and will make sure everything stays up-to-date.

ADA Compliance

All of the sites I work on use best practices and guidelines from the ADA. I make sure we stay on top of all ADA-friendly protocols which not only makes sure everything is accessible to people with hearing, vision, or physical disabilities – but also makes sure you can avoid the risk of legal liability!

SEO and Maintenance

Getting a site up and running is the first hurdle. Now you need to keep updating it so the technology is current and the information is fresh. Your site should be touched at least once a month. Updating plugins and fixing errors is important to make sure a site works when a customer visits. Performing optimizations and monitoring analytics will help drive organic traffic to your site.

Content Generation and E-Newsletters

Fresh, innovative, and strategic content is a must for every website. We’ll work together to figure out what information your potential customers are looking for, then create it for them to find. To help drive traffic to your site, we will come up with ways to build an email list and send out e-newsletters in the hopes that we engage, educate, and connect with your potential customer.

Equipment and Technology

I use a Canon DSLR camera and have studio flash equipment for photoshoots.  I can take your items and shoot them at my in-home studio or shoot on location for a fee. For digital retouching, I use the latest version of Adobe Photoshop. I have some filters and plugins setup to aid me in things like smoothing skin or applying modifications to the color of images based on whatever they will be used for. I also utilize stock photography as well to supplement the images I work with like adding sky (especially when it’s shot on a dreary day). With the advent of AI, I would suspect that the number of tools available to adjust photos would change in the future.

Pricing Structure

I provide pricing for my websites on a per site basis. Everything is tailored to your specific site’s needs. I can host your site or work on another server. When the need for a plugin arrises, I can coordinate those renewals and bill you annually as one package deal. Websites have a lot of moving pieces and it’s hard to know what’s legitimate and what’s not. I’ll take those issues off your plate.

My SEO, hosting and maintenance plans are billed annually. They are structured with monthly tasks but billed only once a year for simplicity. Again, every site is a little bit different in the cost to work with it’s specific functionality and your budget.
