Project Details
1. Logo Design
When the group needed to develop a logo and a general branding methodology, we worked together to develop a fantastic symbol that represented the group. It has since had a few color upgrades and some modernizations as needed for whatever project we were working on.
2. Sales, Design and Production of Annual Guide
For 15 years, Jennifer Creative produced the Tourism Council’s annual guide. I handled everything from sales to printing/distribution. With a group comprised of a lot of volunteers who change often, having one vendor who provides a one-stop solution was key.
3. Website Design and Management
Probably the largest website I have managed, the Enjoy Jefferson County website has three main areas: Editorial, an Event Calendar and a Featured Business Database. The website works in conjunction with the printed book to provide visitors and residents with a resource for things do do in the area. In 2022, I designed and created a new area of the site for a Barn Quilt Tour.
This site requires extensive user management with a permissions structure with separate user profiles for the community members and advertisers. Integrated maps along with details on the individual locations of the tour. The site also had an integrated payment page and a number of ways to purchase ads and collect payments on the site itself. It truly was a groundbreaking project.
4. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
I created procedures and templates for members to insert content for blog posts that have a pleasing layout and follow the general rules of SEO best practices. Last year, the site hit an incredible 200,000 page views based in large part on the work I did with the group to produce quality content on a regular basis.
5. Marketing Support
Whether it was providing ads for various publications or coming up with banner displays for an upcoming event, I strived to be the marketing support person that the group needed.
6. Administrative Support
Jennifer Creative maintained the advertiser data and performed all billing functions associated with their guide and website. In addition, Jennifer Creative also aided the group in transferring everything over to Quickbooks and provided relevant reports and data when needed.
